Digital image technologies enable new experiences and ways of dealing with museum spaces. Visitors use museum databases, (smartphone) cameras and social media to collect, archive, design, stage and communicate images of museum objects. These practices of digital image curation create new aesthetic meanings, stitch together different contexts of knowledge and constitute emotional connections. In this way, digital image technologies build new bridges between museum spaces and everyday life worlds.
